In-Person & Online Tutoring - Rochester, MN

Since 2006, the Huntington Learning Center in Rochester has been providing high quality tutoring and test prep services to students from Rochester and the surrounding communities. We have solid working relationships with area districts and schools (both public and private) and are familiar with the learning standards and classroom expectations for area schools. More recently we have stayed closely informed of the changes to the ACT and redesigned SAT, and the decision by the Minnesota State Board of Education to require public high school juniors to take the ACT.

Mike Schacherer, who has been with Huntington in Rochester since it opened in 1996, is the Center Director and oversees student instructional programs and parent relationships. Deb Garwood serves as Managing Director and is responsible for student instruction and programming. Chris Hetzler is the Exam Prep Coordinator and has been with Huntington since 2020, first serving as a part-time teacher. Mike and Deb are the owners of the center and are active in the daily operations. We have an excellent staff of caring and dedicated teachers who work hard to meet the individual needs of our students.

Our center is accredited by the Western Association of Colleges and Schools, a leading national accreditor of educational institutions. Additionally, we have consistently been recognized with the President’s Award by Huntington as a top performing center.
