Meet the Perry Hall Team!
Melissa Metzger (Owner and Executive Director) graduated from Alma College in 2001 with a B.A. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education, as well as a minor in both English and Natural Science. She began her teaching career as a second grade teacher for Baltimore City Public Schools. After leaving the classroom setting, Melissa managed school mentoring programs for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Maryland, as well as after-school tutoring programs for struggling schools throughout Baltimore. Melissa joined the Huntington team as Center Director in Perry Hall in 2007. In 2013 she became the Regional Director for both the Perry Hall and Bel Air Huntington Learning Centers and in February of 2020 Melissa, and her husband Tom, became the Owners of both Centers. When she isn't in the Center (which is rarely!), she enjoys spending time with her husband and daugther hiking, biking, and kayaking. She also enjoys reading and taking trips to Ocean City to enjoy the beaches!
All of our teachers are state-certified, licensed teachers, with a variety of diverse backgrounds. They strive each day to provide each of our students the best education possible!
