It is hard to believe I have been here for almost a year. I still remember meeting for the first time about taking an ACT class. Back when I started here, I was in football and in order for me to get the most out of the program I had to come five days a week. Everyday I would go straight from school over to Huntington. Then when I was done I would go straight to football practice. We did this throughout the whole football season. Even though it was hard, it paid off in the end when I raised my ACT scores. This score helped me get a $10,000 scholarship from Loras College. After I completed the ACT program, we began the writing program. Before starting this my writing was not the greatest and it showed. Whenever I had an assignment from my writing class, I brought it in to Huntington to get help. The beginning of the second semester to today I have seen my writing go from one of my worst subjects to one of my best subjects. There have been many memories here including all the laughter we shared throughout my time here. I am going to miss this place. I would not be the student I am today without Huntington.
