Dear Prospective Huntington Parent and/or Student,
It looks like it’s time of the year: SAT/ACT study time. I know the time for college applications is approaching, and I know it’s a scary thought, but Huntington will help ease your worries. You may be wondering “How so?” Well for starters, Huntington has top-notch tutors who made learning fun for me. They taught me invaluable test taking skills that helped improve my test scores for the ACT and for school, while making me laugh. As part of studying for the ACT, I improved my writing skills which helped me raise my ACT writing score, my English essay score and the skill came in handy for college essays. I was able to do so because of the English tutor's Huntington has. The teachers are patient, knowledgeable and relatable. Trust me, you will get along with the teachers and you will learn from them. Although the teachers will help raise your scores, keep in mind that you have to meet them halfway and do the work. I was because of Huntington that I was able to go up nine points. It was hard work, but more importantly it was worth it. Now my test score has made me a more competitive applicant for schools like UC Berkeley and UCLA.
As a senior, I know what it’s like to have a extremely busy schedule. You may be thinking ” There is no time for this extra class”, but an amazing aspect to Huntington is their flexibility. They will work with you to create a schedule that works for you. As an athlete, Academic decathlete, full International Baccalaureate diploma candidate, and Advanced Placement Student, my free time is limited. My driving time is longer than most students as well, because I live in Coarsegold which is about twenty-five minutes away, and I go to school in Oakhurst which is about fifty minutes away. However, I was able to find time to come in because Huntington understood and worked around my schedule.
Huntington is an amazing center, so don’t let the cost intimidate you. It will be worth it, as long as you put the effort in. The one-on-one tutoring makes it unique to other programs, because of the benefits. There’s no worries about being the kid that doesn’t understand the material, no fear of asking questions, and most of all: it is personalized to your strengths and weaknesses. The one-on-one style ensures that it’s about you and how the teachers can help you get the score you want.
I have been told I am brutally honest, and honestly Huntington is flawless. So relax, take a deep breath, and let Huntington help you boost your score. There’s a reason I woke up at 8am to come in, despite the fact I’m nowhere near a morning person. There’s a reason I drove fifty minutes right after school to come in. That reason is simply because Huntington is worth it. After all, if I could go up nine points and reach my goal score, then so can you. I wish you good luck, and if you choose Huntington and work for it, I know you will see the same amazing progress I did.
